Welcome to The Avicultural Society of South Australia!
The Avicultural Society of South Australia (ASSA), formed in 1928,
has the distinction of being the oldest Society of its type in Australia
and the third-longest established Avicultural Society in the English speaking world!
The Society publishes a monthly colour magazine: Bird Keeping In Australia,
which provides members with a wide variety of interesting and informative articles on keeping and breeding birds the ‘Australian way’.

Club Activities
The ASSA has many activities, including: Monthly General Meetings, an Annual Bird Sale and other aviculture focused activities are coordinated by the branches throughout the year.
